The Taft Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) holds regular meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. Unless otherwise noted, meetings take place at City Hall, located at 230 Green Avenue.
Taft Business Rebuilding and Façade Improvements Grant Program
The City of Taft Economic Development Corporation offers a matching grant of up to $10,000 to support the restoration of commercial buildings affected by Hurricane Harvey. This program helps local businesses improve exterior and structural elements such as walls, roofing, windows, fencing, and other visible site improvements. Eligible applicants include commercial property owners and tenants with landlord approval. Projects must meet current building codes and receive approval prior to starting work.
